Anna Leong Brophy
Anna is an actor, writer and comedian. She will soon be appearing as Bryony in series 2 of Channel 4’s Back, alongside David Mitchell and Robert Webb, and in Netflix’s Terra Vision. She has appeared in BAFTA-winning series Last Tango in Halifax, Alibi’s Traces, and alongside Ashley Judd in spy series Berlin Station for EPIX. Her theatre credits include Pitcairn (Chichester Festival Theatre/Shakespeare’s Globe), In the Night Time (Before the Sun Rises) (Orange Tree Theatre), and as Alice in Alice in Wonderland for the Storyhouse’s inaugural season. In feature films, Anna starred as reporter Olivia Tan in Paradise War, which opened the 2019 Zurich Film Festival.
She is one half of comedy duo EGG, who graced the cover of Fest magazine amid rave reviews for their 2018 Edinburgh Fringe show Richard Pictures. In 2019 they were returning guests on Channel 4’s Harry Hill’s Clubnite, and are currently working on Scrambled Eggs, a show for BBC Radio 4 about the mixed race experience. EGG also host the hit podcast Still Legit, where they gleefully examine the films and TV shows they grew up with and ask if they’re still legit today. EGG currently have scripted projects in development with Comedy Central and Kudos.
Anna has written for CBBC’s Class Dismissed. She is a founding member of award winning improv group BattleActs.
