Bob studied English & Theatre at Warwick and trained as an actor at LAMDA. In 2013 he co-wrote the fictional diaries of Sherlock Holmes's landlady, Mrs Hudson with his father, the writer and comedian Barry Cryer. Subsequently, they turned the book into an acclaimed radio version, Mrs Hudson's Radio Show, which was broadcast in 2018 and featured Miriam Margolyes and Patricia Hodge alongside Bob & Barry. As an actor, Bob had a memorable run in Hollyoaks as the evil villain Glenn Donavan and has a wide and varied resumé which includes feature films (Grimsby, Legend), BBC TV (Eastenders, Outnumbered) and numerous theatre credits.
