Deb Grant is an Irish broadcaster, DJ, musician, compere, columnist, you name it. She has a show on Jazz FM and regularly deps on BBC 6Music.

Deb hosts the mid-morning show every weekday on Jazz FM, which boasts the highest daytime ratings on the station – a mix of music and interviews with guests such as Stephen Fry, Bill Murray, Van Morrison and Nile Rodgers. She also presents a weekly late night show called the Late Lab, an exploration of weird and wonderful music she’s come across while digging for records around the world - everything from psychedelia to spoken word, field recordings, library music, gospel, calypso and other treasures

Every Sunday afternoon on Scala Radio Deb presents a mix of ambient and classical music, and she regularly deps for their weekday evening and drive-time shows. In August 2022 she is hosting a four-part documentary for Scala Radio, ‘Classical Amplified’ about rock musicians influenced by classical music, focussing on artists such as Frank Zappa and Nigel Kennedy.

Deb has over 20 years’ experience as a live DJ, with residencies at London’s Spiritland and The Social, main stage sets at Field Day and Love Supreme festival and slots supporting Norman Jay, MGMT and Gossip at Somerset House. As a voice over artist, Deb regularly does continuity announcing on BBC2, introducing programmes live to millions of viewers. Her various other voiceover jobs including ads for clients like Sky TV and the NHS.

She also has time to write a monthly music column for the Big Issue, and co-host a podcast called What Goes Around, essentially a pod for music nerds, and report on various international music destinations, most recently from Nashville promoting BA’s new direct route there, Aruba for the Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and a music lover’s Mississippi riverboat cruise in early 2023.
