“Eyes glinting behind his spectacles…appears to have a screw loose” - The Independent

George is an actor and comedian from the Black Country. He is currently a member of the 2021-2022 Ensemble at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, where he is performing as Hamlet in ‘Hamlet’, Dogberry in ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ and Stefano in ‘The Tempest’.

George is the third member of sketch group Daphne, with Jason Forbes and Phil Wang. Daphne were nominated for the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer in 2015.
“a genuinely exciting comic actor who doesn’t seem able to be not funny…put me in mind of a male Julie Walters” - Chortle

George is a regular performer on BBC Radio 4 and 4extra, (The Lenny Henry Show, The Now Show, Newsjack, Ross Noble’s Britain in Bits). He performed in and co-created Daphne Sounds Expensive, which ran for two series on BBC Radio 4 from 2016-17.

On TV he is the voice of Prince Harry and others on Spitting Image (Britbox), and has played Charlie in Raised By Wolves (Channel 4), Henry Bloyd Smith in Pls Like (BBC Three), and made his US TV debut in 2019 as the villainous Hugh Cabot in Whiskey Cavalier (ABC).

He has also featured in Semi-Detached (BBC 2), Drunk History (Comedy Central), Harry Hill’s Tea Time (Sky), @elevenish (ITV2) and The Scandalous Lady W (BBC 1). In 2018 he toured with Filter Theatre’s infamously exciting and raucous version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream as Peter Quince.

In 2019, he performed his debut stand-up hour, Gentlemon, at the Edinburgh Fringe, which was subsequently recorded for BBC Radio 4 in 2022.
