Jonnie is an award winning Writer & Performer. Uniquely, he works across TV film, live performance, presenting, and Literature. He has performed to critical acclaim in Edinburgh and at London’s Soho Theatre, where he currently under commission.
In 2015 He was the youngest ever recipient of the prestigious Sky Academy Arts Scholarship for his debut Novella ‘Pleasureland’. He is currently finishing his first full length Novel.
A special Southbank Show fronted by Lord Melvyn Bragg was made about Jonnie’s writing work and broadcast on Sky Arts in 2016
As an actor for television he has appeared on BBC3, and BBC1. As a writer and journalist, he regularly contributes to BBC Radio Four, as well as in print for Shortlist, and as music editor for The Idler.
His alter ego performance of “Dostoyevsky Reincarnate” has recently hit the circuit, and has performed with John Cleese, and in the role of MC at Latitude Festival.
John Cleese is quoted as calling Jonnie “A Silly, Silly Man”
