Award winning comedian Kai Samra has quickly risen to become one of the most exciting acts on the circuit today. Described as ‘a charismatic man with a great story’ (Steve Bennett, Chortle), Samra combines an edgy stage presence, a confident delivery and talks frankly about issues such as class, race and modern culture from an intelligent, unique and fresh perspective.
His ★★★★★ critically acclaimed debut show ‘Underclass’ was followed by a week long run at Soho Theatre and was recommended by The Guardian, The Observer and was in the list of best shows at the Edinburgh Fringe by Fest Mag. He was also featured in The Evening Standard’s Top 25 jokes of the Fringe.
Kai has appeared on the comedy stage at the Mayor of London’s Diwali Festival in Trafalgar Square and regularly gigs at top comedy clubs such as Top Secret Comedy, Up the Creek and Angel Comedy.
Kai currently has a scripted project in development with Objective Fiction.
A unique voice in the comedy industry he is unafraid to tackle lazy stereotypes perpetuated by comedy. He has performed live on BBC Asian Network and been featured on BBC3, ITV2’s Stand Up Sketch Show, The Now Show, BBC Radio 4’s award nominated series Sketchtopia and his own BBC Radio 4 special of his debut stand up show 'Underclass'
