Paul Mckenna began his career in TV Production, before becoming a freelance writer following the commission of his sitcom Brotherhood, a Comedy Central series that went out to over 90 countries worldwide. Since then Paul has written on numerous episodes of the BAFTA-winning kids’ show The Amazing World Of Gumball, worked across various advertising campaigns, and has further sitcom scripts in development at Hattrick, Merman, Retort, Left Bank Pictures, BabyCow and Sky.

In 2018 the BBC announced a series commission of Paul’s pilot Warren, starring Martin Clunes, and Radio 4 re-commissioned his sitcom Plum House for a third series, starring Simon Callow, Jane Horrocks and Miles Jupp. He also wrote an episode of the hugely popular Cuckoo on BBC3, which aired in August 2018 in its fourth series.
