Celia Pacquola and Luke McGregor in new ABC Comedy Series
25th November 2015
TASMANIAN comedian Luke McGregor and fellow comic Celia Pacquola have teamed up for a new ABC comedy series set in the island state.
The Tasmanian Government will invest $450,000 in the upcoming Screen Tasmania and ABC production Rosehaven.
The eight-part series, created by McGregor and Pacquola, will be filmed entirely in rural Tasmania, including possibly the Huon Valley.
It was unveiled at an ABC TV event in Sydney last night.
Rosehaven will be shot in early 2016 and is set to screen in the second half of next year.
It is expected to employ nearly 80 Tasmanian cast and crew, provide traineeships for up to 10 emerging Tasmanian screen practitioners and inject in excess of $1.8 million directly into the local economy.
