VIC AND BOB RETURN TO BBC TWO IN BRAND NEW SITCOMWe are THRILLED to annouce that Vic and Bob are returning to BBC 2 with a new sitcomJanice Hadlow, Controller, BBC Two and Shane Allen, Controller, Comedy Commissioning have commissioned a brand new sitcom from Vic and Bob called House of Fools (w/t)/. The series will shoot later in the year for transmission in 2014.The studio audience sitcom is set in Bob's grubby flat which he unwillingly shares with Vic … and a constant stream of unwanted visitors, including lady obsessed lothario Beef (Matt Berry) and Geordie ex-con Bosh (Dan Skinner). Hidden away upstairs is Erik, Bob's sulky son played by comic Daniel Simonsen and lurking next door is man-eater Julie (Morgana Robinson).Just as they bent the rules of the panel show format, House of Fools (w/t) does the same to the studio sitcom. It’s half an hour of unadulterated Reeves and Mortimer, uniquely surreal jokes, physical nonsense, daft songs, unimaginable props and impossible situations with a comedy thoroughbred cast. Vic and Bob: "We're back where we belong and over the moon about making a series of House of Fools (w/t) for the BBC".Shane Allen, Controller, Comedy Commissioning: “Vic and Bob are the daddies of daft comedy and it’s a total joy to watch two men in their fifties goof about so gloriously. I’m extremely proud to bring them back to the BBC in this hilarious reincarnation.”House of Fools (w/t)(6 x 30’) is a BBC In-house Comedy production in association with Pett Productions. Produced by Lisa Clark (Pett) and executive produced by Mark Freeland, Head of BBC In-house Comedy and starring Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. Supporting cast includes Matt Berry, Dan Skinner, Morgana Robinson and Daniel Simonsen. The pilot was directed by Nick Wood.
